I have an iphone 4s. I use the camera to take pictures. But i have one annoying issue. When its on the photo tab... the video is to the left of it etc if you get what i mean... i press the circle under the word photo to take a picture. The issue is many times it would take the picture with a flash and i don't like this. It takes longer and never liked it. One way i was able to fix this issue was in the top where it has the words HDR... it has a diagonal line on it. But if i tap on the HDR and then you see HDR as oppose to a diagonal line over it... there is no flash when taking picture. The big issue though is when you do this, it takes a picture but you notice it pauses the screen etc... takes like 2 seconds before you can take another picture and I do not like this.

At times however when the diagonal line is over the letters HDR, my iphone 4s does take pictures with no flash but most importantly, you can keep taking pictures very quickly as in tapping it many times etc. I like this.

Is there a way to fix this issue? The thing is at night or when the lights are dark for example, it seems like the flash is on almost 100 percent of the time if no settings are changed... is that true or not? I do not like the flash at all and want it to be turned off all the time.

Why not just turn the flash off using the lightning bolt icon that should be at the top?

hi there i just noticed that. When i click on it, its on auto. The options are auto, on and off. On has flash on. So that means click on off then everytime? So whats the difference between auto and off? Auto means flash turns on sometimes but other times it doesn't? Whats strange is sometimes flash is on when taking picture... other times its not...

It stays on whatever you select. So if you select off it should stay that way even in the future.
