Hi all! first post here :)

My problem is this, if I connect a headset to the phone interference sound is heard for a few seconds and stops, if I play a song is heard distorted. By decreasing the volume, and return it to the maximum for a few seconds heard perfectly, but again the same problem after a few seconds. Any idea what could be the problem? I've tested 20 different headphones.

The only detail that I find strange is that if I connect the iPhone to the stereo, music (and any other audio) is heard to perfection.

Thank You!

Edit 1: Tested again with a Television, audio played perfectly, plug headphones and the issue appears again, maybe is a sound chip problem? not giving enough power to the headphones?

Edit 2: if i decrease the volume it don't hear anything only in the middle to the maximum i hear the music but again it's so heavily distorted. this doesn't happen connecting the iPhone to a external audio player (a Television, Stereo, or Laptop)

Any ideas? thanks!

Thanks for your answer, yeah i looks like that. but i just want to be sure.

why this only happens with headphone? (anyone) and not when plugged to a self powered audio player (speakers, television, PC etc.)

I am a cellphone tech it's a common problem happens over time with dust
