hello
so i am getting error 50 while restoring an iphone 4s.
the phone is stuck to itunes logo.
i have posted a video of it.
can anyone help me with it ?
i can't even get it out of the itunes logo.

thank you in advance

It's a baseband problem. Try to restore your iPhone without sim card inserted.
Thanks for the Reply. i have already taken out the sim card.
the problem still the same.
i have to mention also that the phone wont turn on on his own unless i plug it in.

Can you try to select a firmware and restore?
yes i already did that with 9.02 and 9.1 did not. still same itunes error(50).
its really annoying , i can't figure it out, if its a hardware problem, i would like to know what to change in the logic board to fix it

Can you try to use a different cable? Can you change another USB port for upgrading?

No worries.
Looking forward to your updates.
so i borrowed an official original cable from a friend ,and used it to do the restore, and always the same error.
now what i've noticed is that:
1-when the phone is not connected to a charging usb cable:
The phone won't turn on when i press the power button.
i am sure the battery itself is fine because its a good battery from another phone.

2-when i hook it to the charging usb cable :
the phone shows the itunes logo with the cable
itunes pops on my imac telling me that i need to update and restore
i do this and when i get the error 50. i click Ok on the message
then the phone disconnect from itunes on its own. i cannot see it with itunes anymore
and on the phone screen the apple logo is frozen and the restore bar at the middle.

when i use Recboot , it finds the iphone in recovery mode. so i hit get out of recovery.the iphone restart, i see the apple logo then shuts off again..
also when itunes first recognize the phone. i cannot see the imei , i only see the serial number and the ecid

i took out the logic board and put it in another health iphone 4s,same problem. so i dont think there is a problem with the other hardware parts of the phone other then the logic board itself.

i hope i was clear in the explanations

Um, this is out of my known area, to be honest. And you mention you change the logic board to another healthy iPhone 4s and problem is still.
Could I say that logic board on your iPhone 5 is locked?
I saw a video on YouTube mentioning that user could replace three chips on an iPhone to remove activation lock. But I guess you probably only need to replace bad system memory chip, I.e. The flash storage chip, to retry system restore.

Sorry to bother you but did you by any chance sort out your iPhone 4s when you kept getting error 50. My problems are exactly the same as you
Thanks mark
