iPhone Iphone 4s JB IOS 6.1

Okay so I'm still waiting on the new Iphone 6 to upgrade and its TAKING FOR EVER but for now I'm already getting apps saying can't update cause I don't have IOS7+ so my question is should I back up iphone reset to factory and then up grade to newest IOS 7.1.2? I think and then jail break again????


And if I do what program do I use to JB??? last time I did it I used evasi0n for IOS6 and was SMOOTH..

Only you can answer that question. I will say this. I have come across more than one person who has said that they wished they were back on iOS 6.

But if you like iOS 7, then go ahead. The jailbreak you want for that is the Pangu jailbreak I believe.

BTW, I'm still on iOS 6.1 as well and my wife is on 6.0.3.

You know what? Normally I'd give you a link based off a Google search, but I don't want to do that this time in case I give out one that's incorrect, bogus, or otherwise harmful. In all honesty, I don't know what the official link is as the last jailbreak I used was Evasi0n for iOS 6.

So, maybe one of the more knowledgeable users here can provide a link.

Now hopefully someone can chime in is my 4s strong enough to run IOS7 or will I regret this and bog down my ****??? I want to upgrade and Re-jail break but don't want to be like Darn I should of stuck with my ios6X

you know that old saying if it ain't broken don't fix it..lol

without going into too many detail is there any benefits for me to going to 7.1.2 and JB with pangu??

Again thanks guys...this site has been a saver for many years going back to JB iphone 3s...lol

I ran 7.0 on my 4S for a while and it ran great. I also know that 7.1 runs even better on the older devices.

I never regretted upgrading.
 
I had trouble with Pangu on my iPhone 5 and iPad Mini on a couple occasions. What seemed to work best was to backup everything using iTunes, then update/restore to 7.1.2 (also via iTunes, not OTA), but then don't restore from backup. Set the device up as a new device instead of restoring it. Jailbreak that using Pangu, then install any tweaks... and only after that's done restore your apps and stuff from your backup.

Pangu is nice to have, but it doesn't have the polish that evasi0n did.

Ya I had issues after issues not with the jail break thank god...But I Lost EVERYTHING I did a back up then restored and updated and it messed up on the download and then locked up had to put it in DFU mode, then it went through 2 hrs later, and after the phone was restore I looked at my back up and there was only OLD OLD back up of wifes phone so I lost ALLLLLOT of stuff....I got my apps and music that is it....

now I have to try and find what JB apps I had and work with IOS7...NCsettings crashed so un-installed that...bitesms works..

Anyway off I go to read through some of these threads, again thanks for the help...
