I got the latest iPhone 4S with the most recent firmware, and noticed while watching videos, it's much harder to grab the scrubbing bar compared to my old iPod touch. I don't notice this problem while moving the bar for music or anything else though.

Does anyone else notice this issue? Hopefully it will be fixed in an update.

I think it's iOS 5's drop down notifications fault. My iPod touch 4th gen was fine before iOS 5.

I have noticed this issue on my iPhone 4 with iOS 5 as well. I do think scrubbing performance has gotten worse with iOS 5.

Hopefully the next update will solve this issue, but so few are talking about it.
If you notice this problem as well, please, continue posting.

I've been having a REALLY bad time scrubbing videos too, but I thought it was just my accuracy. At least I know it's not me now...

Glad someone else posted this. This has been driving me nuts also. Ever since i have gotten my iphone 4 with i believe was iOS 5 update it has been real crappy. Almost feel as if it does not feel the finger on the video scrubbing bar. Its pretty annoying as i watch a lot of porn in bed at night.

+1 to above poster's honesty. :p

on topic, yep i've noticed it as well. i agree with previous speculation that the notification shade seems the likely culprit, as sometimes when trying to "grab" the scrubber, the shade will start to come down. additionally the volume slider which is at the bottom of the screen remains consistently responsive.

Happens to me also. And I am talking about the Music app. Not every time but my ex iPhone 4 had absolutely no issues. Now I have 4S 5.0.1

I have no trouble.

You have to be pretty accurate with your first touch, but if I hit the button dead centre it works every time.

I guess the person watching the porn might have shaky hands so this will be tricky to pull off.

I assume they have had to reduce the target area.

I've noticed that this issue is completely fixed in iOS 5.1
