Hey folks,

I need some help. I've been really happy with my Iphone 4s 64GB in the last 3 years, and finally paid it off completely from contract late last year. Battery is good and everything was going smooth until the 8.0 update. The latest update designed specifically for Ipad 2 and Iphone 4s performance, released a week ago helped a bit, but I have this problem with accuracy on the keyboard when typing or using buttons.

It feels like the accuracy is completely off. if you try to write a text and you hit x, then it will recognize v (the letter next to it) instead. if you try to press m, it will register delete (the button next to it.

The poor touch accuracy is much worse on the bottom on the phone. It's almost like the touch profile is that of a different phone. I've never had problems before. It's so bad I can't even unlock my phone. pressing harder doesn't help either. I can't find the mechanic but the phone is almost unuseable to me now.

I've tried resetting all settings, followed by a completely phone reset. I've tried doing it by both itunes and on the phone without itunes. I'tried not installing settings from icloud to make it run even smoother, but it has not helped.
I dont mind the UI lag, but the.. touch register is simply horrible.

Does anyone have any clue about what went wrong? Is it possible I broke the phone?

Apple made iOS 8 available for the 4S as a bait.... I bought a used 16GB 4S in mint condition that had 8.1 on it already, not knowing it would suck so much. I experienced horrible slow performance, loss of connnectivity, inaccurate typing as you described, and no way to downgrade the OS, so I sold it and bought an iPhone 6 yesterday, now iOS 8 performs as it should, no lag, super smooth, everything works and the keyboard is phenomenal on the iPhone 6

time to do a forced upgrade buddy
