Hello everyone !!

I am using a iphone 4S running on iOS 5.1 firmware. I wanted to jailbreak it but im unable to find a simple method of jailbreaking it....Im a novice in jailbreaking and would appreciate is someone can answer the following :

1) Is there a Un-tethered Jailbreak method available for my phone ?? please provide the links..

2) Do i have to upgrade to 5.1.1 in order to do a Un-Tethered Jailbreak ??? I prefer to have the 5.1 firmware running on my phone..

3) will i lose my current apple apps in my iphone after jailbreaking ??

4) Can i restore my original settings back, if required ??

Thank you in advance and appreciate your help !!

No.

2) Do i have to upgrade to 5.1.1 in order to do a Un-Tethered Jailbreak ??? I prefer to have the 5.1 firmware running on my phone..

Yes. Why do you prefer that, though?

3) will i lose my current apple apps in my iphone after jailbreaking ??

Not if you restore from your backup in iTunes

4) Can i restore my original settings back, if required ??

Again, yes - if you restore from your iTunes backup

I would recommend updating to 5.1.1, restoring from your backup, then jailbreaking.

If you restore/re-jailbreak in the future, don't restore from your backup as you'll end up with wasted space from your previous Jailbreak. Just manually reinstall everything.
