I've got iPhone 4S from a friend and when I try to turn on phone it shows only apple logo and then phone goes off and thats it. It happens every time so I can't turn it on. I tried to restore it using iTunes but it's also not working. If anyone have any idea whats going on with my phone and how to fix it please reply.

Did you try DFU restore?
And what did your friend have to say about it?

I doesn't have anything to say, he don't know what he did. Yes, I tried to restore it in DFU mode but all I get is Restore Error (50).

There might be a lack of back up ability on the device. Close iTunes and try this:
defaults write com.apple.iTunes DeviceBackupsDisabled -bool false

Reopen iTunes and try again.

It's clear from the screenshot the OP provided that he's running Windows and not Mac OS X :)
