I have unlocked my iPhone 5 that was originally locked to AT&T with the R-Sim 9 Pro. I am currently using T-Mobile as my service carrier and was wondering how I could get network faster than 2G (Edge)? I am on firmware 6.02.00, currently jailbroken as well, but cannot seem to find a solution to my problem. I have read a lot about being able to run LTE through a jailbreak tweak, but that is only for iPhone models A1428. I have the model MD636LL. I purchased the RPatch activation code and that was successful, but still no LTE just Edge. I am wondering if it is even possible to get LTE on this sort of iPhone model, and if not how about 3G?

Looks like it's an older iPhone 5 that doesn't support tmobiles 3G bands unless you are in a refarmed area. That's a hardware limitation and nothing you can bypass with software hacks.
About the LTE I'm not sure.

So am I just going to have to deal with 2G network?

Also thanks for the quick reply.

if it's an older iPhone 5 (I believe before the month of april 2013), then you will have to live with edge unless there is refarmed 3G (1900 MHz)

as for the LTE, it should be able to connect since the hardware is compatible with tmobile's LTE. did you make sure there was LTE in the area? Generally speaking, if there's LTE in the area, there should be the refarmed 3G

If there is LTE in the area but you still can't connect, it might have to do with using an R-Sim to unlock the phone. Make sure you update your carrier package. It should be T-Mobile 16.1

I GOT iPhone 5 same baseband, iOS 7.1.2 lock to Rogers, try rsim9 pro seem to work but still no service, how do you do to make it work??
