That doesn't exactly mean that it's an iPhone 5, just that it's running iOS 5.0. That's just my initial opinion, though.

I know what the iPhone 5 will look like, contact me when it's released.

my friend from Rogers took this screenshot, so he says. He was saying something about the serial number that proves its the 5 but I don't know what he was talking about.

..i realize now i probably should not have said he works for Rogers considering he might be the only one testing it :/

it probably says 10.6 because its an internal beta. i mean it looks like the rumors have said. the home button seems to be capacitive and also it has the 4" screen. it also doesn't look like it slants like the tear drop but its hard to tell. maybe you should submit it to macrumors and see what they do with it. also for anyone looking in iTunes i doubt you will find it because apple hasn't released iTunes 10.6 beta yet.

I'd call fake, mostly because I would think that the home screen in the image would be the standard iOS 5 home screen, but it appears to be missing the Reminders app icon. It's not unfeasible to think that as late in production as it is and being in carrier testing that the icon would already be changed for the iPhone five, especially in an internal build.

Is that a smudge where the home button is?

L O L. I think it is! If you zoom in close you can see it! Not to mention the square thing on the button is to squared too be real. Current iOS devices have the edges of the square on the button rounded off a bit. It's off center it seems, too.

OP: Your friend forgot to entend the screen upwards, he old extended the sides out so it's edge to edge which doesn't make a 4 inch screen.

But what would a smudge indicate? He took a pic of the iPhone 5 and photoshopped it in? It is a doctored 3G image?
