Hi all. Just a little info for comparison.
Had a brand new battery installed in my iPhone 5 yesterday by Apple.
Charged it up once and then used it until it died. And definitely good battery life now.
I'm still running iOS 8.4.1 and this is an iPhone 5 (not c or s). Purchased in September 2013.
Phone lasted another 8 minutes using Facebook after the screenshot I've attached. It stayed on 1% for quite a while before turning off.
Got it plugged in now to recharge to 100% again before unplugging.
When I had the battery replaced I was going from 100% down to 80% in ten minutes of use. And the battery was swelling causing the screen to push away from the phone. The recall and etc. apparently didn't include my phone. So I had to pay for the replacement.
But it's all good now, and the phone is out back together right. They said they'd never seen a battery that failed the test as badly as mine did.
Screenshot below of first use cycle on new battery.
