I would get the Note only if you don't want to wait for the ipad mini, plus, you can make calls on it.

I would agree with others, these are very different devices. The screen real estate and the expected use of a stylus are really tempting with the Note. Big, beautiful display, and a solid feeling device. However, if you need something you can keep in your pocket and portability is high on your list, it's just not a great solution. I was very tempted when I played around with one. It's very nice. But then I tried to fit it in my pocket. No go.

Then again, if you're looking for something you can iron clothes on....
