iPhone iPhone 5 screen went black.

Hey! I was downloading Couria tweak from Cydia and then the screen went black. I tried to charge it, but there is battery left since Siri do still work. If I put it in DFU mode it will force me to a full restore and update to iOS 7.1, right?
Anyone got an idea on how to fix this?
iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.6

Reset your phone using the power and home button and press the volume button while the phone is rebooting this will make it enter safe mode, try to see if it works

I looked this up and it seems like this could work. But I need to turn my iPhone off first because it's still on. I am trying to push the power button down but it wont turn of. How do you suggest I get it turned off? Waiting out the battery or what?

u don't need to turn off the phone first. do this…

Press the home button and lock button together, count to 10 seconds. After 10 seconds let go of those buttons then hold down the volume up key for 30 seconds. thats how it goes into safe mode
