I have a iPhone 5 running 6.1 jailbroken with evasi0n.

I recently updated some things in cydia, and after it resprung it brought me to the activate your iphone screen. I tried and it just hangs forever.

So naturally I tried restoring which failed with error 21. After this I tried putting it into recovery mode and DFU mode and restore through itunes that way. It still gives the error.

What can I do to solve this problem and restore my iPhone?

I have also of course made sure that my mac and itunes were up to date.

Thank you for any assistance.

If you're under warranty (which you are), GO THE **** TO APPLE. Since you attempted a restore, they won't be able to get the phone working without restoring again (if they can get it working), so they won't see it was jailbroken. Do this before 6.1.3 comes out.

I went to Apple. They couldn't fix it, and they replaced the phone.

Didn't even take any convincing, the Genius Bar guy just looked at it, I told him I was unable to restore it, and he said, "yeah we are going to have to replace it most likely."

Now I have a new phone, no problems.
