Is it possible to take a photo that also displays the GPS coordinates? I'd like to then upload that to my laptop and include in a document.

Yes, I thought I could drag a photo from iPhoto into my Pages document then display the coordinates so photo and coordinates show when printed. I have Location Services on but can't figure out yet how to do this.

But instead I get a javaScript error. I tried to figure that out too, but am over my head. I'm attaching a screen shot of that JavaScript error regarding Google Maps.
[doublepost=1464380384][/doublepost]Maybe my iPhoto program is too old: iPhoto '11, 9.4.2. These are not photo from my iPhone, with my Canon - maybe that's the issue.....
Darn.

Yep. just goto "get info" on the files and you'll see the GPS data.
I suspect my computer is too old. My OS is 10.9.5. I went to "Get Info" but GPS was not one of the options. Sigh.

Possible.. i can't check.
Heres what you would see.

I dragged my photo from iPhoto to the desktop, opened in Preview, Tools, Show Inspector, and see the window below. I think this is where I'm supposed to see a GPS tab but I don't - thus I suspect either my OS 10.9.5 or my iPhoto OS'11 9.4.2 is the problem.....I'm not too savvy.

This is what I was doing and had the same problem. Dragging doesn't retain the GPS info.

You need to go to Photos/File/Export/Export 1 photo/ and ensure that the box marked Location Information is ticked

Then, in Preview you'll see the GPS tab in the Info box.

In fact you can see the Latitude and Longitude on the photo using Finder's Info More Info
