I have an activated iphone 5 and just got it unlocked with factory service. Do I have to put it in DFU and do a restore? or just a regular restore will work.

I cannot seem to put the iphone 5 in DFU? Is there a way to get the activation done again?

connect phone to USB

hold home and power until it turn off, hold both 3 more seconds, than release power while holding home for 10 more seconds, itunes will find an iphone in recovery and iphone screen must be blank

I believe it has. as with 4s you can connect the USB and then press home and power for 10 seconds and then home for 5-6 seconds and the phone goes in DFU. with the Ip5, it just plain reboots without DFU. So there must be something different with the timing.
