Iphone 5c ios 8.1.3 become hot and drain battery so fast(no use)

My iphone 5c become hot and battery drain so fast even when I'm not using it after updated to iOS 8.1.3. I never have this problem before. Pls help me.

If you check the diagnostic logs under diagnostic and usage you may see the problematic app that sounds to have got itself into a state.

If that gets you nowhere you may want to book a genius appointment with Apple. Apple support have a chat functionality to take you through some stuff..

No doubt they will say reset and start as new, maybe worth trying that too

In fact we had a user where the default mail client did exactly this and only a factory reset fixed it. Couldn't simply re install the default mail client..

Press and hold the power button and home button until the phone turns off and then back off. See if that fixes it. I have had good luck with my 5s doing that when I have major issues like that.

My iPhone 6 randomly sent me the "too hot" message and kept beeping until i turned it off at 57%. My phone has never been this hot. I let it cool, and 10 minutes later I turned it on and it was at 25%. Very weird

My phone become warm even when I'm not using it. Battery drain fast too. I don't know what happen. Weird.

I too did notice a significant battery drain from my habitual light use of my iPhone 6 immediately after the 8.1.3 update. I leave in the morning at 100% and used to still have more or less 70% left in the evening but now it goes all the way down to 20% by evening.

And the heating issue is scary, 10 minutes on a light app and it heats up. Left it charging and it gets REALLY hot!

Might revert to 8.1.2 if this persist.
