I recently have broken my LCD on my iphone 5c. However I do have a spare iphone 5c but the model number is different. Even though disassembly is the same (4 screws and 3 ribbon cables) for the LCD, I was told by a repair shop you could not interchange them if the model numbers are different.

Not that I do not believe them I would just like to double check and make sure they were not just trying to make an extra buck off me. If it is possible I will go ahead and make the repair myself as they do not seem interested in that repair.

There is no Touch ID so changing the screen is very simple and will work. I actually did this last week for a friend. I swapped a broken iPhone 5C screen and replaced it with another one from a no service one. Works perfectly.
