Hi guys,

I've just try to update my 5S (never jailbreaked) from iOS 8.0 to 8.0.2 using itunes 11.4(18), and now my iPhone is stuck in a constant "Apple logo then blue screen" boot loop.

I've tried to restore it with itunes, but the boot loop restarts...

Any help needed, please.

Thanks

Franck

I've got the same issue, and haven't resolved it yet either.

After a call with an Apple rep, who claimed to not have heard of this issue, he stated that restoring via itunes would likely solve the issue. He also said that, after looking at my logs, it was initiated by a memory issue (shocking, I know). He also asked me if I ever "force quit" apps, which I don't because one shouldn't ever have too, then he said try that with some heavy RAM apps after usage. The problem is it crashes during usage.

Long story short, restoring did nothing.. worked fine for about two hours, then black screen (display on, just black), followed by reboot cycles to black screen. Fourth instance of this in two days, usually just manually holding home+power for a few times to force boots while stuck on black screen usually does it. It takes about an hour of screwing with it though.

Planning on calling them back this week. No prior issues with any iphone up until this 5S on 8.0.2.

You can try restoring again as I did, as YMMV. Maybe 2nd times the charm :)

have the same issue however with a red itunes logo on an iPhone 5 after going from 8.0.1 to 8.0.2. I don't want to restore yet since I'll be losing all my info...just want a way to kick it out of recovery. So many people are having this issue on a regular supposed to be routine update
