Hey everyone, i've searched the forums for this but couldn't find any specific threads with the same problem.

I have an iPhone 5s whose battery it so bad that it won't even boot after it's been plugged into power for 24h. It does show the "charging" screen when I plug it in, and it switches back to "please plug in" screen when I unplug it, so I'm pretty sure it's not a cable or connector issue. The battery had been getting worse (down to about 1 hour standby before it died) so I knew I needed to replace the phone sooner or later, but I wasn't expecting it to become completely bricked.

I meanwhile bought a new phone and restored from backup so I'm up and running again, but I'm wondering whether there's any way I can still boot the old phone so I can wipe it before selling it used (I know there's people who buy broken phones for the parts). If I can't boot it to wipe it, I assume it's not safe to sell it used, even with Find my iPhone remote wipe activated, right? Does anyone have experience with this?
