The phone is not mine, so I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I do know that it was dropped into water once and it was fixed.

I was told it started restarting and constantly dropping the Wi-Fi signal after the update apparently.

The battery is really bad, and it does not last too long. So I am wondering if it has something to do with that? Because if it was actually damaged then Wi-Fi would not work at all, rather working intermittently.

Anybody got any ideas, please?

If it wasn’t cleaned and repaired properly after water exposure, corrosion is probably starting to kill the phone.

That phone needs to be totally cleaned up with some parts, like the battery, replaced as necessary. Any problem is most likely a result of that event. A total clean up and repair can most likely resolve any issue at all.

Thank you for the replies.

I turned off Bluetooth and everything started to work. I think it's the update that messed things up.
