TruSloMo is simple and FREE. You select a (120fps) slo-mo video taken by your iPhone 5S and TruSloMo saves a new (30fps) version to your Camera Roll.

The result is that you can import the videos into apps like Instagram, iMovie, WhatsApp, etc., without losing the slo-mo parts. And without any loss in quality!

I wrote it the day after the 5S was released, because I was disappointed that I couldn't post slo-mo videos on Instagram. It took Apple a long time to approve it, but they finally did!

Are there issues with this app at the moment?

Downloaded it yesterday, and upgraded to the pro-version.

Ever since it crashes the second I try to open it. I have reinstalled and all that, to no avail.

Also note that several other, iOS7-enabled Slow Motion apps are also capable of 30 fps Camera Roll export. I've been publishing several articles on them in these very forums.

To be perfectly honest, I took a look at a few of your articles, but couldnt identify a single app that will allow me to take an iPhone 5S slowmotion video and export it to anything, whilst keeping the slowmotion area that I defined after shooting the video.

Could you, based on your knowledge, point me in the correct direction, perhaps?

Awesome app, especially with the multiple slow motion sections.

Question - is there a way to retain the original file's date time and location information after doing the conversion? After converting the files, the videos show up with the current date and location in the "Photos-Collections" view (which makes sense). Or does anybody know of another app that could do this?

You know I haven't been using the SloMo feature much since I received the 5S over a month ago.

It also appears to eat up a bunch of space on my 16GB device.

And sharing such large videos seems to be a challenge.

Maybe I just don't record that much fast-action-awesomeness or just don't value the SloMo feature much. It's nice when Apple shows it off though. Marketing gold!

Wow, sorry it took so long for me to see this. I didn't realize this thread had gotten any replies. Unfortunately you're experiencing a rare issue that happens to a small percentage of users upgrading to Pro. A fixed version has already been submitted to Apple and I'm hoping it'll be released next week (possibly Monday since it's already In Review)

Actually, it was just US-only for a few hours while I figured out what was causing that rare crashing issue that I just mentioned above. It's available in all countries now and has professional translations for 5 other languages

I've purchased every other slow-motion app out there. They are either too expensive ($3.99) or difficult to use / understand. Most of them focus on recording slow-motion video in real-time -- but I find that most people would rather just use the default Camera app, since it's so easily accessible.

Maybe you should give the new version of TruSloMo another look. The interface is designed to be extremely familiar to iPhone 5s users. It's the fastest way to export slo-mo videos with multiple slo-mo parts.

I'm glad you like it! Unfortunately there currently isn't a way for TruSloMo to retain that metadata at the moment. I'll look into it, though, to see if I can add support for that in a future release

so...heard about this and downloaded the free version and Paid for the InApp purchase.

pretty nice. Do you know if Apple minimizes the sound in their 120fps slo-mos?
The TruSloMo app seems to have louder audio in the Slo-Mo parts.

Another neat idea would be to add/splice more video into one larger video...though I guess that's what I would use iMovie for.

Too bad iMovie couldn't import the SloMo movies to begin with.
