iPhone 5s vs The Competition

For the past 5-6 years the iPhone has reigned the champion but by the look of things other companies are catching up and fighting really strong

Samsung Galaxy S4
Nokia Lumia 1020
Sony Xperia Z
Sony Honami
HTC One
Moto X

Sure there might be more phones but i can say this year is the worst for the Apple brand. If they still come up on top it will be still between all these and the percentage out of a 100% will be so much lesser than the last 6 years

If all those rumors are true of the Finger Print Scanner, 32GB being the Standard iPhone, New 2 Colors and of course the obvious new OS, and chip, would you be you content with this upgrade.

Are you still has excited as you were in previous years if not why or are the rumors spoilers ruining it for you.

The 4s and 5 were behind the competition before they were released. Spec sheet wise every other companies flag ship phone is better. And it won't be any different his year.

The reason apple do so well is iOS. Android is generic. iOS is built for the iPhone. It's tailor made and created to work in perfect harmony with the hardware. Something android will never have.

Don't get me wrong I love my iPhone. I'd not go android. I had the 4, the 4s and now the 5. The iPhone is the perfect phone for me. It meets my needs perfectly. I can't see any phone tempting me away.

But do I think the iPhone is the best phone on the market? No. Do I think apple innovate? Not for a long while. Do I think the 5s will be enough? Enough for who? For what? For me? Absolutely.

Now to response, you are absolutly right, Apple is the type of company that does things just enough but do it a little better than the competition, thats what makes then on top.

They see something, see the cracks and fix it and then advertise it and prove why they have figured it out. If the Finger Print Scanner is true then that would be a great example of how they see cracks, fix it and make it part of their products and then advertise it so the common people will only remember them at the end of the the day.

At the moment i am using a S4 but will later switch to the 5s just so it(IOS 7) feel somewhat new

pfft i disagree. the only true competitors for the iphone seem to be the xperia galaxy and htc one. to be honest windows phones still have a lot of catching up to do. i do admire their new nokias 41mp camera even thought it looks like a tumor

apple has one edge all over the competitors and its really important. customer loyalty. theyve managed to retain so many customers, by their brand image etc.
i can freely admit that the galaxy s4 is better, but out of stubborness and apple fanboyness im still going to get the iphone 6 instead of the s5.

Iphone 5s is gonna hold its own against the others.Hell the 5 does pretty good on day to day use against them.

It's everyone's responsibility on every forum site to look through existing topics and not post topics that have been endlessly rehashed. It's very easy to find these threads without even trying to look. They've been extremely common with the upcoming 5s. Even if you don't know that they exist it's a good bet that they're out there and you're not the first person to have ever conceived of the topic.

32 gb standard, updated internals, yes it's more than enough for me to upgrade. Airdrop, FaceTime audio etc is icing on the cake.

It's not just customer loyalty. It's there commitment to ease of use as well that helps keep customers loyal.

How many people do you know that are pushed to a larger screen Android phone yet they can't figure out all the features?

The iPhone just works, no hunting for things, just easy.

iPhone will remain champion for a long time yet. iPhone 5s will outsell all those devices listed with ease.

But the competition is good. I enjoy Android*, it's easy to use. I like Windows Phone 8.

who cares it's not an iPhone. If you have all apple products then stay with apple products. if not Get a Samsung which isn't bad my girlfriend has a Galaxy 4 has a nice screen and it's bigger but for me I need to fit it in my pocket and it seems too big. That and I don't like their OS.

You are also on a Mac forum so Apple products will always win. The iPhone is like Batman..... you can't beat Batman. He/it just finds a way to be better.

I recently tried the Microsoft Surface and Windows phone and all I can say is how hard is it to just copy every single thing Apple does like Samsung did. They were pretty awful especially the surface
