Hi, I am having issues with iMessages. I don't get texts from certain contacts that also have iphones , or I get the texts 30mins-1hr later and all at once, so like 3-4 texts in a row. What is causing this issue? I have reset all my settings, erased my phone, done everything.

I even switched carriers, had Verizon and a 5c, switched to AT&T and a 5s last week. The contacts either get my texts, or I don't get theirs. What can I do? I am out of ideas, this is getting frustrated.

Also, how do I go back to iOS 8.1, I updated to 8.11, and I tried to get the 8.1 firmware but it downloaded in a .dmg file, and I couldn't convert it . Or when I would change the filename to .IPSW and then restore through iTunes, and I would get the Not compatible error.

Assuming you're on a mac: open the .dmg file and the .IPSW should be inside it
I'm not entirely sure if you'll be able to rollback to 8.1 another member will have to clarify that

Thanks for the response. Apple was still signing the ios 8.1, I'm using a Windows PC, and the file would come as zipped, then unzip it to .IPSW
When I would restore, it would come up as not compatible

Are you sure you've downloaded the correct file for your phone? i.e CDMA vs GSM?
