Excuse me if I'm doing it wrong by opening a new thread, but it wasn't immediate to me in which one I should have asked about this issue.

By the way, I'm posting because I have an issue with my iPhone 6 and I wanted to find out whether it's common or not.

My iPhone 6 used to be super smooth with iOS 8.4 when I bought it. Since I installed iOS 9.1 (the official release, not a beta), most system animations (app switcher, search screen, control center and so on) became rather laggy.

I do not believe it's an hardware issue, since my device runs intense graphic games such as Real Racing 3 without the smallest lag.

I even try to restore iOS, but it didn't help.

Any clue?

It's extremely common.I am having heavy lags on my iPhone 6 in spotlight, control centre, app switcher and even quick reply
Some fanboys vehemently deny this though.8.4.1 was the pinnacle of iPhone 6 speed

Yes, I agree.

Two questions:
Do you except/hope that Apple will fix this?
Any way to downgrade, even with jailbreak?

Thank you!

9.2 beta runs better on my 6 than 9.1.I suggest you give it a try. Many lags have stopped being severe
Unfortunately Apple stopped signing 8.4.1 so no way of downgrading.

I will wait until the official release.
Thank you, anyway. Hopefully I will be happy with my device, again

Yeah 9.2 so far is better but still not perfect. Control Center still jitters as well as spotlight (it's much much worse on my iPad mini 2). Opening apps is quicker to respond to touch, still not perfect, but close. I still get random hiccups in animation when opening and closing apps though. Quick Reply is still meh, although I don't use it much.

Extremely common, as everyone has said. My iPhone 6, despite going through numerous restores that pissed me the heck off, exhibits lag and stutters almost everywhere. The only play I actually see improvement is Weather. Animations when choosing which city (I have several selected) from the list no longer stutters. But other than that, there is lag and stutters here and there. It's quite annoying. I pray 9.2 fixes this and the battery life of my phone, at least by the end of iOS 9 iterations. I want to keep this phone for some years before upgrading. I've only had my 6 since Dec.13 2014 too. So it better last me lol.

Definitely not a hardware issue. 9.0-9.1 have been pretty lackluster across the board for many devices. Good news is that 9.2 fixes most of that (from my experience running beta 2 on my iPhone 6). I have had very few instances of lag. CC, spotlight and multitasking are almost as smooth as 8.4.1.

You are not alone. My Air 2 is suffering with iOS 9, even 9.2 beta 2.
