iPhone 6 blacks out in landscape?

I just got my 6 yesterday. I noticed that at times when I go into landscape while in a text the phone blacks out. I have to press the home button to get the screen back. Any ideas what's happening? Thanks

I can't help you but I have the same problem. But I do not have to press the home button. It blacks out and then comes back to the text screen but it seems dimmer than it was originally. When that happens sometimes pressing the keyboard does not work. I have to go to portrait orientation and then back to landscape.

Yes my keyboard doesn't respond either when this happens. Sometimes it does come back on too. And it will work in portrait, but that's a temporary fix. Maybe it's a software glitch? Happens intermittently
