iPhone 6 copy/paste not working

Hi- at some point in the last few weeks (maybe since the last point upgrade), the copy/paste dialogue has failed to appear when text has been highlighted. Is this a Settings issue that I'm not aware of? Any solution? Thanks.

Does it always happen or only sometimes? When it happens, have you tried selecting the same text again to see if shows up if re-do it?

Thanks for your reply. Since I posted the thread I've found a sort-of workaround. The problem seems to be specific to a few apps, but if I can open the app in Safari then I can copy/paste from there. It doesn't solve all the issue of course.
