Ugh. I hate to make my first post a bad one, but here goes.

So if I look at my front facing camera straight on, I can see a crescent shaped silver line on the right side of the camera lense. To me it looks like the camera is not aligned.

With that being said, this is my SECOND iphone 6 with this issue. I got a launch day phone that appeared perfect for the first two weeks. It resided in a nice hard plastic case, having never been dropped. And one day I noticed this condition. Googled it and found one thread on the apple support forums with people having the same issues. They all said take it to apple, get it swapped. So I did.

The new one was perfect too at the start. And wouldnt you know it, this new one (still never been dropped or abused), is doing the same damn thing. This is getting ridiculous.

The front camera works perfect still, so this is just a cosmetic defect. Im not totally sure if I should go back again to get another replacement. Whats the point if it all still works. But its like a rock chip on my car. I know its there and it bothers me. I had a note 3 before this, and it was flawless. I came back to apple, and now Im on a second phone with aspirations that I will need a third one. What say you guys? See stock picture below of someone else's phone that looks exactly what both my phones are doing/did.

Eh, if the camera functions as it should, I'd personally keep it. But if you notice that pictures are coming out weird as a result, definitely return it.

So I wanted to post an update to this. I have been through 3 replacement phones with this same issue that seems to develope out of nowhere. I was following a thread for the exact same issue on the apple support forums where people with space gray phones of all storage sizes are having this issue. Soneone also commented that all the space gray phones at their local Apple store have the camera shifted. You guys all need to check your phones.

I called apple care in the hopes that they could take me out of this phone and into a different color one. They promised the world but quickly have backed out of it all basically offering a like for like phone that im sure will do the same thing. What a crock. Everyone should be flooding Apple care with calls about this defect. There is also a thread on reddit about this too. It's wide spread and I guaranty it's effecting your space gray 6. Not 6pluses though. Check your front cameras and post up.

Just noticed mines off center as well. Never had noticed until I saw this thread. Functions fine, I'll deal with it but for the price I paid outright it does kind of irk me.

I have the SG iPhone 6 128GB and a White/Silver iPhone 6 64GB and checked both of the cameras and both are fine.

I had my SG since release.

I had this issue after reading this too. I simply asked the Genius Bar to replace the screen instead of getting a replacement.

my screen was scratched up anyways and I was so glad that I got this instead of a refurb!!!

So Im on my 4th phone now. This one currently does not have the shifting camera issue. Im sure it will at some point, but for now it doesnt. This last weekend I was at the apple store getting this one, and the guy checking me in pulled out his 6+ and it had it too. His was worse than mine...lol So we checked out their floor display phones, and more than half of those had the camera shifted too.

And the first brandnew replacement phone they took out of the box had it too. I had to have them pull a second phone, so I guess you could say this was my 5th phone. Im telling you guys, this is an epidemic. Its going to be a recall or something at some point. Keep checking your cameras. It happens out of nowhere.

Exact same issue on my space gray. I noticed it right away when I first got it and fired up the camera, expecting a dark edge, but it looks fine.

I'm keeping it. Not worth the trouble to return it.

I had this issue on a replacement I got a little more than a month ago. This issue is also gaining publicity, and Apple should replace it without question.

I am waiting a bit to replace mine for the second time to lower the risk of having to replace it a third damn time.

Just thought I'd add my name to the list. My black 128GB iPhone 6 has this crescent white/gray material slowly creeping its way into view.

Sadly my beloved 5th replacement that's been good for a while, is now starting to show the icresent. ****. Back to Apple for #6.

Ironically, I noticed my phone had this issue when I got it but it didn't bother me as I never use the front camera. I just checked and now it's perfectly centered.

I would give up at this point, man. Apple's quality control has gone to ****. Just find a new phone that does what you need it to. Samsung Galaxy series...the new Moto X looks pretty cool...

Apple needs to stop pumping out phones as quickly as possible without actually assembling them correctly first.

I'm gonna bump this and say that I noticed this on my dads 6 and checked mine and sure enough...

I already swapped my 6 because the screen clicked in 3 corners. My replacement clicks too -- but only in one corner and only every so often. But now the camera is off center. AND the touch ID sensor clicks faintly when my thumb is on it.

This thing is a QC POS. I'm going to ride it out and I'll get it swapped at the very last minute for a brand new one that I'll promptly sell and upgrade to whatever the 6s is in hopes that they'll have their ***** together.

For a company that made $8,500,000,000 in the 3 months surrounding this iPhone release, I don't feel bad saying that I expect more for my money.

No big deal. Mine had the same problem. I took it into the nearest store. They did not change the screen or the phone, they told me they have realigned the camera. It is perfect now. Pretty easy process.

At this point it's not a QC problem it's a design flaw.
