My 6+ is almost 2 years old, no warranty. In the last month, it has been plagued by screen freezes where it becomes unresponsive, and it has been randomly dialing people in my Contact list. At other times, the screen image is unstable, with a band of white light at the upper edge. Resetting the phone makes it usable until the problem happens again, usually later the same day.

This may be a well-known problem, but I wanted to hear any current, permanent solutions. Thank you.

Does this happen when charging only, or when running on battery as well?

In the event of the former, it's almost certainly a frayed/unofficial cable causing the problems. If it's the latter, you can try a full restore and a fresh install of the OS. If the issue persists, unfortunately it's going to be hardware.

Happens when running on battery, on chargers (official and otherwise), and on a dock (using Apple adapter) in my car, too. The full restore is my next step. Thanks!

I have had now two incidents of receiving a call that the other person did not make. In the first instance, we both received a call from the other. the second was that the person called me and has no record of calling me.
