iPhone 6 screen keeps lighting up for I reason and wasting battery

My iPhone screen lights up randomly wasting battery and I don't know what to do. it happens so often now causing problems, read a lot of things about how to fix or what it might be but it's still happening. Takes 5 hours to drain battery to 50% just because of the lock screen !

When it lights up do you get a notification or anything like that?

No don't get any notifications or anything at all it just randomly lights up until it times out and does it randomly throughout the day even if I've got it on low battery mode.
