My iPhone 6 128GB is showing signs of slowness - Scrolling in apps, menus, the battery is very very poor etc. Had since new and it is showing age. Now the question is, do I pick up an iPhone 7 plus 256GB second hand for around 30% off retail price (£620 second hand versus £919 new) and sell the 6, total will cost be about £300 to upgrade or wait and stick my current phone until September and pay the £919 (based on Apple keeping prices the same) for the iPhone 8?
Although I mention cost it isn't a massive issue I just don't like giving money away when there's possible value to be had with existing models.
Pro's of the 7 plus -
- Better screen resolution
- Better battery
- Better camera
- Considerably faster than the 6
- More RAM
Con's of the 7 plus -
- Very large
- Soon to be old design
Rumored Pro's of the 8 -
- Big screen in small form factor
- Faster than the 7 plus
- Better functionality with ARKit with probable 3D camera technology
Con's of the 8 -
- Cost
- Unknown design until launch and then availability
