iPhone 6 won't charge

I have the normal charger that comes with iphone 6, and the connector piece. It charges fine when plugged into my MacBook but for some reason takes me several tries connecting the charger into the phone to get it to work.

The wires don't appear to be frayed or damaged so I am not sure what the issue could be?

I came here to post a new topic on the charging issue I'm having, which is identical to yours. For the last few weeks my iPhone 6 has charged just fine when connected to my MacBook Pro, and my car's USB (using any cord). Every other place the phone won't charge (using any cord). Very odd. Anyone else heard of similar issues?

Look in the charge port 9/10 it's pocket fluff compacted in there.

You've two options 1, compressed air, a quick blast or 2, a very fine needle. To pick it out but mind the contact pins!

It might be, but might not get much out.

I tried compressed air with no luck. As for the needle, I'll probably have a genius do that.

It's pretty simple to do with something like a toothpick as the port isn't all that deep or large.

Update: my issue got resolved when I went to Apple store and a genius plugged in my charger (that hadn't worked for over a month). Can't explain it. For a month I had this issue, and it just disappeared. I had cleaned the port with the compressed air and a fine, brush-like plastic toothpick, but that didn't fix it. Anyway, it's OK now.
