Hello everyone I currently have iPhone 6s that is failing to boot, The phone will not power up unless it is plugged in to the charger/PC even then when the phone powers up the apple logo appears and then the phone restarts and is stuck in this loop constantly.

I have been trying endlessly for months to fix this but another problem I am having is it will not enter recovery when pressing and holding both Power and Lock button (Nothing happens when plugged in or unplugged) I am at a loss as to what to do.

Can anyone help with this problem or recommend what I should do? Thanks

Try the below steps, If somehow they doesn't work then try contacting the Apple support -

  1. Press and hold the Power and Home simultaneously for 10 seconds (or until the screen goes black).
  2. Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.
  3. Release the Power.
  4. Keep holding the Volume Up button until it passes the Apple logo. ...
  5. Unlock the screen.

That's not how you put a 6S into DFU mode either.

These instructions work for all iPhone models before iPhone 7 (iPhone 6s and earlier, including 1st-generation iPhone SE), along with all models of iPad (with Home Button) and iPod touch.

  1. Plug in your iPad or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC.
  2. Make sure that iTunes (macOS Mojave) or Finder(macOS Catalina and later) is running.
  3. Turn Off your iPad or iPod touch if it isn't already.
    1. Press and hold down the On/Off button for 3 seconds.
    2. Swipe the slide to power off slider to the right.
  4. After the device has been turned off, press and hold down the On/Off button on the top of your device for 3 seconds.
  5. Press and hold down the Home button on the front of your device while still holding down the On/Offbutton.
  6. Keep holding both buttons down for 10 seconds. (If you see the Apple logo, you've held them too long and will need to start again.)
  7. Let go of the On/Off Button but keep holding the Home button for about 5 seconds. (If you see the "Plug into iTunes" screen, then you've held it too long and will need to start again.)
  8. If the screen stays black, that's it! Your iPad or iPod touch should now be in DFU mode.
