Is it ok to update my iPhone 6s on 11.1.2? some users claim that it lags on the 11.1.2 version. Thank you

I've had no problems, didn't notice any difference compared with 11.1.1 with my 6S.

Mine is hit and miss. Sometimes it is a lag fest and some parts of the day it flys. Hard to explain. Almost like sometimes stuff is going on in the background causing lag and other times it is not. On my 6s. Haven’t noticed it on my iPad 9.7 pro.

And that has been the case with every iteration of iOS 11 I’ve tried.

Once you starting talking about X.x.2 updates. You probably won’t notice a single change. It’s all under the hood. And 11.1.2 primarily addresses iPhone X issues. It’s such a small update.

I just updated my 6s in 11.1.2, yes, i guess it's a hit and miss. Some animations lags.

Thank you for that information :)

If all else fails, back up everything and do a clean Restore via iTunes. That generally solves weirdness for me. You can also turn Reduce Motion on to help with lag in Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion > then toggle the switch to on.

... My mother has a 6S and it runs perfectly fine on 11.1.2. Her phone has only gotten more stable with each update.

Was the iPhone 6S a hand me down she got for free from you? Most people aren't going to complain about lag or crashes if they got the device for free. Most people don't even know something went wrong when the device randomly reboots or when they get thrown back to the home screen.

No, she bought it new and hasn't upgraded to anything newer yet. She hasn't experienced either of those examples you just gave ... and believe me ... she tells me about any and all problems she has with anything with a power button. She loves her phone.

Someone just can't really have a positive experience with their device unless they basically don't even know what they are doing or are only good enough for hand-me-down devices?

Really reaching to look for problems. It doesn’t help anyone.

That wasn't the question at all.

Actually it is called an Opinion not question. You haven't seen a question mark on her post right?? Majority of iPhone 6S users are experiencing slowdown since iOS 11 even with the 7 because ORIGINAL OS version of an iPhone making it run smoothly. Others saying that iPhone 6/6S/7 still fast as iOS 10 does not see well the difference but in reality it's actually slower. Slower to boot up, delays, and a bit of crash.

You are completely wrong. Now your stating your opinion as fact. The majority aren’t having issues with iOS 11 on there devices. My 6S runs just like it did on iOS 10.3.3, even better. Many of your posts are not well thought out or based in fact..
