Just concerned I’m consistently getting 1790 single and 3103 multi. This compares badly to the geekbench browser score and I’m just wondering what other 6S scores on here are with iOS 11. I’m currently on 11.0.3

Only reason I’ve been doing geekbench scores since iOS 11 is because my 6S coughs and splutters all over iOS 11.

Are you perhaps running Geekbench while Low Power Mode is enabled?

Because a 6s should score around 2300 single core and 4000 multi core.

Also are you using geekbench 4? And is geekbench 4 updated to the latest version?

Did you get your battery replaced from someone other than Apple. I bought he wrong battery for my 6 and it let it only run at half speed and stutterer like crazy. Bought another from Ifixit and fixed the issue.

It has the original battery. Phone is only 10 months old. Went to Genius Bar earlier and their diagnostics said everything was ok, even though he could clearly see the stuttering. He reckoned I should restore from iCloud backup which I am doing at the moment. So we shall see. On an aside, the genius didn’t know what Geekbench was. Not sure if they’re told to say that but I would have imagined they would know.

Genius bar are nowhere the quality they were 5 years + ago. These days they are just another retail cog to sell or upset you more. You are more likely to find the real answer here or other forums.

Couldn't agree more.

Spent a weekend last month having them diagnose my GF's phone, only to diagnose it wrong and have me waste my entire weekend. The entire phone needed to be replaced, not the microphone like they said.

Sad part is, I'm very savvy when it comes to iOS and I had a feeling that what they were venturing down the wrong path. Long story short, I was right they were wrong. Five years ago, the techs working to fix my problems usually knew more than I did. In today's retail environment, that no longer seems to be the case.

Check your iPhone 6s on Apple's official support website.
They have a battery replacement programme for the 1st batch 6s.
Or your battery may not in a health situation.

My 6s is affect & it will slow down (Geekbench 4: 2500-2800) after update to iOS 10.2.1 or later.
Since I replaced a new battery from Genius Bar, it runs 4450 of iOS 11.0.3 now.

That's really odd.

I'm running my 6s in ios10 still.

Consistently getting ~2500 single and ~4400 multi

Should only drop in single digits to ios 11. Something must be wrong.

You double sure it's not in low power mode?

Forget the iCloud restore for now. Troubleshoot from the baseline - full wipe and set up as new iPhone. Then only download Geekbench and run it multiple times.

No point restoring a backup if there’s something in there going rogue and compromising performance.

Just to update, once my phone had restored from iCloud my scores are now 2448 single and 4370 multi. Phone is now running like a well oiled machine. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Much happier.
