Hello everyone.
I have a few questions regarding my new iPhone 6s that I've just upgraded to from using my iPhone 4 for more than 4 years. As you can imagine it was quite a move up, especially since I was running a 3 year old, non updated iOS on my iPhone 4.
I must say that I'm not as happy with the new iPhone 6s as I thought I would be, mainly because the performance regarding battery life and there seems to be a few bugs in the new iPhone 6s. The battery life seems to be poorer than in my iPhone 4, incredible really! I've learned that there are 2 different battery suppliers, Samsung and TSMC for the new models. I downloaded the app called Lirum Info Lite from the App Store to see which manufacturer I have, but I'm a little confused because on the Hardware Model section it says: N71AP, N71mAP.
When I look at sites on the internet on how to check this info, the following instructions are:
N66AP (6s plus) or N71AP (6s) - Samsung chip
N66MAP (6s plus) or N71MAP (6s) - TSMC chip
This is where I get confused, in my app, it says both N71AP, N71mAP, so which chip do I have?
Another bug I've noticed is when I write message in the message app. I like to hold my phone horizontal when writing as everything get's bigger. But as I do this, sometimes the screen freezes and I have to turn the phone vertical to "unfreeze" it. Anyone else has this trouble?
Lastly, I did make a restore backup from my iPhone 4 (with very old iOS) and it worked fine, however, might this be an issue with bugs and battery drains since the iOS's are so far apart? Would it be wise to reinstall the iPhone 6s totally fresh?
Thank you for reading all the way to here and would be grateful for some help.
