Hi. This problem started for me on getting the new iPhone 6s a month or so ago: when I select photos to email to myself or someone else, I'm able to prep the email and hit send, but then on checking my outbox and sent folder (or the inbox of the recipient), there's no evidence of the email existing.

Additional info: I can send regular emails just fine. I have the latest iOS and general updates. Never had a problem with this for my previous phone!

Most email servers have a cap on the size of the email that you can send, and photos from a 6s approach 4mb in size. That could be your problem.

Thanks for the reply but I've been able to send batches of up to 10MB worth of pics until now. I just tried sending the email with the image downsized to the smallest size, and it still disappears into the abyss. Any other ideas?

Do the sent emails appear if you login to the email from a computer?

Remove and re-add the email account in question...see if that solves it.

What email provider? Exchange server...pop...imap?
