Hi Mac friends. What's the best solution to clean the LOCA glue used by Apple on their LCD (after scraping as much glue with a sharp plastic that looks like pizza cut and some combination of bladed and long wedged plastic)? I have 70% rubbing alcohol isopropyl, 99.99% isopropyl alcohol, 50% distiled water + 50% 99.99% isopropyl alcohol. I also have acetone.

I'd like to ask, In the photo, on the left, what's that cable (both encircled in green) on the replacement glass+digitizer the contacts don't match the iPhone 6s Plus' cable, the teeth are different (but 100$ is for the iPhone 6s Plus). What about the blue film on the replacement glass, do I need a LOCA glue and an oven for it? Does it already have glue underneath that blue film like prepreg (if yes, do I bake it under a UV, under the sun, I do have a small UV flashlith 390+nm wavelength)?

Hi with some breaks, after 7 hours, I managed to remove the iPhone 6s Plus's LCD from the glass which was tough to do (sharp plastic from a pizza cutter and trial and error with GEM blade and double sided blade for shaving and a plastic too and heat from no. 2 setting blowdryer helped- it's tough), I'm not expecting the LCD to be clear but I'm aiming for usually, it's a fun project. I need to buy a new one for sure (iPhone 15?). If it's terribly damaged, I guess it's worth it buy the whole LCD with digitizer already in place next time at reputable stores like iFixit or OWC if they have (though it's a bit more expensive than buying a used iPhone 6 but maybe not a iPhone SE which is the one I'll buy if the LCD is too damaged from all that process).

Thank you, have a blessed week.

Buy the whole LCD/Digitizer assembly and replace it that way. The way you're doing it will end with a poor result if it even works at all. If you watch the many YouTube videos on the repair you will see all the equipment necessary to complete the repair properly (which you don't have). The cost of the ifixit display kit is well worth not having to spend over 7+hours on a repair that should take less than an hour using the kit

Yup, true, I'm really testing my skills also, once the trial and error's w/ proper decent tools, the next will be perhaps an hour too not 7 hours (I had a lot of breaks through those hours). :), it's good to have new skills on a rest day.
