My phone screen on iOS 9.3 all of a sudden doesn't turn on this afternoon, so i tried to hold the home and power button to do a force restart. Then it got sucked at the Apple logo screen. I had to restore my phone using DFU method, but then I am currently stucked at activate screen, it's telling me it's linked to an apple ID which doesn't belong to me. I purchased the phone on craigslist on Oct 2015, with the original receipt. At that time i checked carefully to make sure find my iPhone on the phone itself is not on, and i checked the activation status is showing not locked. After some digging online, it seems like the apple ID is belong to the previous owner. The scariest part is now it's showing activation lock: ON. I tried to contact the seller, no luck. I called Apple just now, and the lady said she will have to escalate this for me. I know many ppl have issue w/ activation on ios9.3, but in my case here I can't seem to find many answers on here. Has anyone experiencing something like this?

Lucky that you have the receipt.

I know, I remember when I checked the phone before purchase, activation lock is off, and find my iphone is turn off
I had no idea he has to remove the device on iCloud.com
