I still see no improvements in the stuttery animations or scrolling. But my iPhone 5, which doesn't run on Metal, is running just as good as in iOS 8 now. It makes no sense.

Already tried that. Didn't do anything. Dont bother.Lagtastic.
Thinking about resetting settings. That seemed to have helped on IOS8 I think when it was released.
What do you mean by clean install? And 9.0.2 is way worse than the betaTry a clean install, especially on beta!
Lagtastic.

its a shame because the processor is super fast in loading apps and playing games but the animations are making it seem slow.Really? I thought the A9 was wickedly fast!
Haha, just kidding. It's due to Metal I believe.

some are saying that this is the final iOS 9.1 beta, the next one is GM. Hopefully they don't somehow forget to fix this.If the newest iPhone is lagging on iOS 9, then Apple will certainly fix these performance issues.
It's a shame that iOS 9.1 beta 4 doesn't give us a glimpse of such improvement.
on your lock screen, do you see stutter when sliding up the control center? It's buttery smooth on my 6S. Noticeably better than 9.0.2

I've found that, like many, turning on 'Reduce Transparency' makes a lot of difference. I'm not sure why Apple can't, with an A9 processor and Metal, get motion blur and transparency correct on the 6s+. I get that there's downscaling, but the latest release of El Capitan pretty much fixed everything on my 2012 Macbook Pro Retina (which also scales) and I believe that's attributed to Metal.
I suspect this won't be 'fixed' until iPhone 7 if/when the virtual and real screen resolution are equal (or even multipliers of one another).

It's running pretty damn well on my 6+
I usually turn "reduce motion" on but after reading all of the problems people were I decided to turn it off to see what would happen.
The animations were refreshing but this was ugly.
