Hi everyone, recently I found my iphone 6s lagging when I try to wake it up. All the wake up methods would cause it to lag, including raise to wake, lock button, home button. Even the silent/un-silient switch would lag. It does not happen every time, but it's quite annoying. Does anyone know why is this happening?

Thanks a lot.
[doublepost=1527722505][/doublepost]BTW I'm running iOS 11.3 on my phone.

Hey

Check out this guide and see if any of these routes work

I have a 6S (Samsung chip if that matters). Some possible causes of lag:
- iOS is in the middle of updating apps in the background
- the phone is in poor data/cellular/wifi connectivity
- it just happens

I would try rebooting the phone, charge it, move it to better data connectivity (or put it in airplane mode).

Why what is happening? What do you mean by “lag”? Can you post a video?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Essentially what is happening is that sometimes when I try to wake up my phone, the screen would not turn on until about 5 seconds later or longer. During that 5 seconds, all the buttons would not work. But when the phone is unlocked all the buttons works fine.

Thanks for the description. I think it's more meaningful, because I wasn't trying to be snarky. I really have never seen anything like that. So you touch the home button to wake the phone and nothing responds for about 5 seconds. I can't think of what that could be. Is there any chance your battery health is going bad?

Hi everyone, here's a quick update on this topic. First I want to thank everyone for your help! I have tried all the methods that you guys gave me, like replacing the battery and DFU restore etc. But the problem remained and got worse. Now it takes at least 20 seconds to wake upo_O
