i just got it and its on 10.0.2. can i jailbreak it? the more i read the more confused i am.

Currently you cannot but you have better chances on getting a JB at 10.0.2 than going up to the latest ios version.
So I'd leave it like that for now and see how it plays.

I take it to mean that the exploit(s) currently making the 10.1.1 jailbreak possible, have not been patched by apple on 10.2. Meaning that a 10.2 jailbreak is technically possible, but as of now, unplanned.

I could be wrong though.
