iPhone 7 have 100 song in genre but only shuffles the same 30songs every time.

every time I try to shuffle a genre it shuffles the same song 30ish song when there way more than that in the genre?

I've experienced this issue since iOS 8. I have over 800 songs in my library and when using the Shuffle feature, I hear the same 40ish songs everytime. I gave up on Apple fixing this.

Alright. Your playlist itself might be the culprit. Technically, app should not just shuffle same 30ish songs if there are more than 30ish songs.
Are your playlist Apple Music playlist? Could you play those songs that is not being played while being shuffled individually?

I have a similar issue. If I shuffle play an artist, it will loop the same 10 songs over and over.

i dont have any Apple Music. Yes I can play the non 30ish individually.

I play all my songs in shuffle and I too get the same 30ish. I have 662 songs. Theres this one song that gets played twice every time.

That’s weird.
I do not encounter the same issue. I have two smart playlists. Each with 200+ songs. I do not listen to any song twice in a row, or listen to the same song repeatedly.
I’m using iOS 11.2 b2 if this matters.

Ok I figured it out. I have some songs with nothing in the album column so I just put — symbol in the column. And now all songs play when I go to

Back when I used to download pirated music from the internet, I would use itunes to make sure my files had all info — artists, genre, album, etc...

I never had the problem you guys are having.

This is quite weird indeed. I have never ever seen such. Maybe because I do t have any songs with empty artist and/or album info.
