I cracked my home button so I replaced it. I knew it wouldn’t work anymore but I was cutting my finger taking my phone out of my pocket. Plus it was getting real hot. After I replaced it now my phone will not turn on. Any ideas? Thanks!

You may have damaged the flexes connecting the screen assembly to the housing/logic board. On the iPhone 7/8, they are very easy to tear. Pull out your magnifying glass and take a close look at the flexes but also look at the connectors too.

Thanks for the reply! I’ve done this many times and am pretty careful but will definitely look closely at the cables. Thanks. But besides that could it be something else?
