Anyone else notice this? I had originally hooked it up to an old iPad wall adapter and it got extremely hot, to a point where I thought it might shut itself down, so I swapped out to the iPhone wall adapter just to reduce the amount of juice, but it still got really hot. It was also making the "hiss" noise. I called Apple and scheduled a call this evening with them to start the process to get the phone replaced.

What I'm asking is has anyone else had an issue while charging their iPhone 7 using any Apple adapter? I'm fine with the coil whine but massive heat + coil whine is a bit concerning to me. Considering this same device will be touching my face some of the time.

My phone also gets way too hot while I use it while charging, even when I'm not really even doing any CPU-intensive stuff, just facebook or messages. If the screen brightness is in the higher range it will automatically make the screen darker to help keep the heat down. This used to happen once or twice a month with my old 6s but now it just straight up happens everytime I use the phone while charging. I can't hold the phone without feeling like I'm burning off my hand's skin...
