iPhone 7 issues

My iPhone 7 randomly either:
-freezes when using an app or
-randomly shuts down
It is on iOS 15

The battery was changed recently

By an Authorized Apple Service Provider? Sounds like a bad battery. Get it swapped out for another.

My 2020 SE did that and I had a non functioning hot spot issue last summer and so cancelled with carrier as they also raised my monthly rate by $20, but did up my gb by 10 to 25.

Anyway they offered me a great rate in Nov so accepted and with New SIM Card No Freeze-ups! But still no hot spot!
