I have an iPhone 7 which works perfeclty except for the microphone. I can’t use the microphone inside iOS (I’ve tried with memo recording, voice messages, calls...). The interesting thing is that the microphone on the EarPods does’t work too in the same way.
I’ve already tried a hard reset (with DFU), but nothing happend.

What can I do?

Try to record a video with the rear and front facing camera too, see if those clips have sound. If not, then none of your mics is working and the problem is most likely Audio IC.

If voice memo recording is grayed out -- it's Audio IC issue. Make encrypted backup asap and take it to a repair shop.

It is the speakerphone that is greyed out during a call. In iOS 13, the voice memo record button will react to touch, but won't start the recording.

There are iterations of Audio IC issue where the speakerphone button is not greyed out, but there are other issues involving audio.

On mine the lightning connector just stopped to work for earpods (every other use just fine). After that, random bugs with wifi, musicmemos app, etc. I suspect of ios 13.5.1 badly. A nightmare for me. I need my podcasts!

Now I realize I have the same mic problems.

I'm sadly there.
