Hi Guys,

iPhone 7 is 450+tax while iPhone X Apple refurb is 769+tax.

I am only interested in these 2 phones and planning to keep for 2 years atleast. Didnt find the 8 much enticing and not a fan of plus size iPhones.

The single most factor is the size of the iPhone during my runs(keeps in the pocket).

About 7 I like the size, camera and iOS 12 on it. Will future iOS updates be more fluid in general operations till 2021?

About X i really like the full screen gestures. Battery should be better than 7 and longevity of updates. I dont care about the face id or wireless charging.

One more thing, I handle my phones rough. I once broken the 7 in a case lol.

Whom do you think would be better choice ?

Seems strange to exclude the 8 when it's basically right in the middle of the two options you are considering.

That said, I wouldn't be buying any phone going on 3 years old no matter what.

You’re saying size is the most important factor. The smaller and lighter 7 wins that contest easily. 128GB refurbs are usually available for $469 or if you’re patient the 32GB models show up from time to time at $379. If you planned to own longer than two years though, I’d look at other options and adjust priorities accordingly. By you saying “at least two years”, the question becomes what’s truly more important, size or longevity?

You didn't mention that price isn't an issue. Just get the X. You should not even think about it.
I feel like iphone 7 isnt giving me much value investing 450 dollars in it compared to 769 in X..

I wouldn't even consider the 7. I love Face ID and the bigger screen.

so do you use it in your runs too ? or some other workout

379 refurbs arent available at all, I tried to keep an eye on those..

Well, 32gb does get filled up pretty quick.. So 500 dollars would be gone if i go either way ( 7 or X)

Mate.. I do want a phone that stays with me atleast 2 years or longer and stays in my pocket in the runs.

Also, I hated the 7's poor battery too. It was the most notorious iPhone I ever had in terms of battery life.

Do you really think X is that big n heavy compared to 7 in real life. Mind you I would be using a case for both anyways.

I went from iphone 6s plus to iphone x and I must say that form factor is great, display, battery life etc. You will have longer support for the x which for me is essential.

I went from 6s to XS, and the added size and weight is not that big of a deal in real life. The XS might feel more balanced in hand actually thanks to weight distribution, but could be my imagination. I wouldn’t want to run with either of them in baggy gym short pockets, so you might be screwed either way! Go X, enjoy the 64GB base storage, longer support, screen, camera, etc.

Exactly.. they are the only iPhones i can buy and none of em are a catch. I would try SE but that is too small and limiting for other needs as well.

and yeah currently using Android as a backup, its still disgusting compared to iOS fluidity and stability.

I think i have to go run with X anyways.

Have you ever run with X ?

Apple’s solution for you is two devices - an iPhone of your choice and a $500+ LTE watch with the required monthly $10 + taxes/fees from your preferred carrier.
