Given the current pricing. In your opinion is the 128gb iPhone 7 plus at $769 or the 256gb iPhone 8 plus at $949 the better buy. Which one gives more bang for your buck. Sure the iPhone 8 is supposed to be way more powerful but are you going to really notice that with everyday use? Will you notice the extra 30 fps with 4K video? 64gb is not really an option for me. Looking to upgrade my 128gb iPhone 6 Plus.

Since you are going to upgrade from 6 plus i definitely think iphone 8 plus will be a better buy. The glass back design, wireless charging, true tone and fast charge features in 8 plus are definitely worth the $$$.

Had a similar discussion to this with a friend today who is going to go from an iPhone 6 to either the 7 or 8 (not Plus). We came to the conclusion that the 128GB iPhone 7 was the better bang for the buck rather than the 256GB iPhone 8 based on their usage anyway.

That's the way I see it. True Tone is nice--love it on mt iPad Pro, but it seems less important on the phone. Personally, wireless charging isn't a feature I want to pay for, given the option. 128GB is Goldilocks to me. 256GB would be a waste for my usage.

That was the same with her. She can't get by with 64GB, but 128GB is just fine and 256GB is totally overkill in her case. The fact that the 256GB iPhone 8 is $200 more than the 128GB iPhone 7 in that scenario made the 7 the obvious choice.
