my daughter has got the 8 plus but it doesn’t feel as smooth as my 7 plus. On the 8 plus it seems to load web pages a bit slower it sometimes stutters when scrolling down a web page or on twitter where as my 7 plus doesn’t. Could there be a problem with it

Try a full reset and then set it as a new phone. Do not restore from itunes.

Ideally it should be at par with the 7 for day to day activities, if not better.

I reset both phones last week installed same apps on both phones and in my opinion 7 plus is definitely smoother. It’s not a big deal but I thought the 8 plus would be way smoother. I will say the 8 plus battery is better than the 8

Obvious question, is power saving mode activated on either the 7+ or 8+? That will make a difference in performance if it's activated on one or the other.

By definition the 8+ should be as good or better. Not hating on you, but I’m thinking it’s some kind of user “error”.

Are they both on the same cellular network? Are they both connected to the same Wifi?

Agree, the 8 should be faster on every task. Settings issue? Or perhaps the 8 has a defect (and should be returned or exchanged).

Going from 7+ to 8+, I can't say I noticed any real world speed improvements. I would say the 8+ is snappier at certain tasks than the 7+ was. But your case is obviously different than mine, the only way to know for sure would be if both phones were set up the exact same. Like try setting up both as new under the same Apple account, and not installing any apps.

My 8+ is smoother and a little faster than my 7+. SO many variables that it make it hard to compare.

Heh heh, yes, unless you sit around running GeekBench benchmarks all day...in which case the difference is eye-popping. But apart from that, if you live an actual life...not so much, at least not for now.

I just like my 7 Plus because it's jet black. It connects to my car and usually has no trouble playing YouTube Red. The Intel modem sucks but my 7 Plus has been added with my Note 3 to media storage devices.

I really don't want to buy an aftermarket radio for my car to connect these BT 5.0 and newer devices. I feel like as much as I enjoy technology, certain things serve me well unchanged.
